The Breaks is a 1999 American comedy film written by and starring Mitch Mullany and directed by Eric Meza. Adopted by a black family in L.A., Derrick grows up an Irish white boy who thinks he's black! When his mother catches him romantically entangled with a woman on her couch, he's thrown out with an ultimatum.
